This comprehensive, multi-stage design process unfolds over several months, depending on the site's complexity.

Initial Consultation
Your project begins with a visit to your garden.
We walk the site together, discuss your wishes, clarify your priorities, and talk through the practical aspects such as layout, style, and budget.
After the visit, you receive a concise site report along with our Proposal Letter and Terms of Engagement. Once you choose to proceed, we begin the design work.

Concept & Outline
Design
A mood board, functional diagram, sketch design, and presentation drawings, including perspective sketches, set out the proposed new garden.
This stage helps you visualize the overall concept and direction, and gives you the opportunity to comment
and shape the design before it develops further.

Detailed Design & Technical Plans
This stage fully defines the garden through precise CAD plans, construction drawings, and technical details.
It defines the technical framework, including regrading, drainage, paving details, steps, irrigation, lighting, and site-specific structures such as pools, ponds, garden walls, and pergolas.
Contractors receive everything they need to price accurately and build with complete clarity, greatly reducing on-site interpretation and ensuring every element is executed exactly as intended.

Tender Management
We oversee the entire tender process on your behalf.
Contractors receive full specifications and tender documents, ensuring they are pricing the same scope and level of detail.
Once quotations are received, we review and compare them in a structured report.
You stay fully in control while benefiting from our guidance, helping you appoint the contractor best suited to your project and ensuring a smooth transition from design to build.

Planting Plan
A garden’s character is defined by its planting. We prepare detailed planting plans and schedules that include species, quantities, sizes, and spacing.
Careful consideration is given to seasonal change, choosing plants that provide interest and structure throughout the year.
This level of clarity ensures accurate sourcing and exact setting-out of every plant, allowing the garden to mature into the intended mood, structure, and aesthetic we’ve designed for your home.

Furniture
Furniture gives the garden scale, comfort, and presence. Furniture choices can either reinforce a garden’s design or work against it.
We carefully select outdoor furniture, sculptures, and planters, considering style, proportion, and material, to complement the architecture of the house and integrate naturally with both existing and newly created spaces.
